It's an image that immediately got enthusiasts reacting on Reddit. Published by user sfr777__, it shows a Ferrari Enzo equipped with a ski rack mounted on the roof. An almost unreal scene, given the status of this mythical hypercar, usually locked away in private collections or preserved as a work of art.
But on closer inspection, keen observers quickly recognized this very special Enzo. It's not an unknown car, but that of Barry Lundgren, better known on the networks under the pseudonym @sharetheenzo.
An Enzo designed to be used, really
Unlike most owners, Barry Lundgren does not consider his Ferrari as a mere collector's item. His approach is radically different: he drives it. A lot of it.
His car recently exceeded 31,000 miles, or around 50,000 km, an exceptional figure for a model produced in just 400 units. And there's more to come: his goal is clear, to reach 35,000 miles (56,000 km) by 2026. This mileage, almost unthinkable for an Enzo, speaks of another vision of the prestige automobile: that of a pleasure experienced on a daily basis, without fear of wear and tear or depreciation.
Heading for the FAT Ice Race... in an Enzo
With this in mind, Barry Lundgren decided to take the experience one step further. To take part in the FAT Ice Race, organized on February 27 and 28, 2026 in Big Sky, Montana, he simply adapted his Ferrari Enzo to the extreme conditions. Snow tires, ski rack on the roof... and off we go.
A surreal image: a hypercar designed for circuits and perfect roads, now equipped like a mountain station wagon. And yet, the initiative is no mere marketing stunt. It's part of a continuing project to show that an Enzo can be used, explored and even diverted from its original purpose.
On site, the car did not go unnoticed. Between curiosity, admiration and incomprehension, the presence of this Enzo in such an environment provoked numerous reactions. But Barry Lundgren wasn't content to simply display it. True to his reputation, he also allowed several people to get behind the wheel for photos, thus sharing the experience rather than jealously guarding it. A rare move in this world.
A living Enzo, far from air-conditioned garages
In the final analysis, this Ferrari Enzo embodies a vision almost opposite to that usually associated with hypercars. No tarpaulin storage, no fixed mileage. On the contrary, it rolls, travels, tackles the snow... and continues to rack up the miles. And that's undoubtedly what makes it all the more fascinating!
