Just over a month ago, we told you about this unique Ferrari Daytona SP3599+1", designed for charity and unveiled at the prestigious Monterey Car Week 2025. This unusual model, designed by Maranello's Tailor Made department, broke with an almost century-old tradition with an unprecedented stylistic boldness: a huge Ferrari logo in Giallo Modena running all over the body, mixed with a carbon black and bright yellow coat.
Under the hood: 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12, 840 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 2.85 s. A supercar born to pay homage to the racing prototypes of the 1960s, but with the latest technologies, right down to the cockpit, where an innovative textile made from recycled tires rubs shoulders with carbon borrowed from Formula 1.

A breathtaking auction
This weekend, the Daytona SP3 "599+1" lived up to all its promises... and then some. Auctioned by RM Sotheby's, it literally set the room ablaze. In a matter of seconds, the counter went from $5 million to... $26 million.
A record for a modern Ferrari sold at auction, and a moment that has already gone down in history. Even Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari's design director, couldn't hide his emotion, dropping a simple but powerful: "I'm speechless".
The noble cause behind the number
Beyond the exceptional price, it's the purpose of this sale that deserves to be highlighted. Visit 26 million dollars will go entirely to the Ferrari Foundation and Save the Children, in particular to finance the reconstruction of the Aveson Charter school destroyed by fire in Altadena, California.
An extraordinary supercar, a historic sale, a philanthropic commitment: the Ferrari Daytona SP3 "599+1" will undoubtedly go down as one of the highlights of this year's Monterey Car Week. And in that respect, it's hard not to share Flavio Manzoni's opinion: we, too, are speechless.
