Mansory takes on the Ferrari 12Cilindri and increases the power of its V12 engine.

Ferrari just over a year ago unveiled the 12Cilindri, its new GT coupe with a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12, a rare engine that sings at up to 9,250 rpm and already develops 830 bhp out of the box. A technical feat at a time when most automakers are abandoning large engines in favor of hybridization and electric power.

But for Mansory, the famous German tuner known for its extravagant creations, that wasn't enough. At the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, the company unveiled its first complete transformation based on a 12Cilindri, christened Equestre.

A V12 boosted to 855 hp (and even more, according to some sources)

Under its long hood, Mansory has chosen not to make any major changes to the engine. No new pistons or turbocharging, but targeted work: reprogramming of the ECU and a new sports exhaust system equipped with two catalytic converters and active valves. The result: power climbs to 855 hp (some even say 880 hp) and torque now reaches 730 Nm, compared with 678 Nm for the standard model.

Admittedly, the performance gain remains marginal, but it is accompanied by a more expressive sound, offering customers that little extra touch of exclusivity so sought-after in the world of customized supercars.

A spectacular look: between provocation and excess

While the mechanics have been slightly revised, it's the styling that Mansory has struck hardest. The original elegant, flowing Ferrari design has been replaced by an overabundance of forged carbon. Hood, fascias, fender flares, rocker panels, XXL diffuser: there's nothing discreet about the 12Cilindri Equestre.

The car presented at Monaco featured a deep purple hue contrasted by black and carbon elements, as well as a stripe in the colors of the Italian flag running from the hood to the rear. Mansory also inaugurated new VF.5 forged wheels, 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, reinforcing its body-built appearance.

Lounge-style interior

On board, Mansory has continued the exercise. Gray Alcantara dominates, enhanced by purple accents and multiple carbon inserts. The tuner even offers a Rolls-Royce-style LED-illuminated headliner. Pedals, sports steering wheel, quilted carpets... the whole package exudes advanced customization, with each customer able to define his or her own colors and materials.

Future collector or provocation?

By daring to touch Ferrari's latest naturally-aspirated V12, Mansory has gone against the grain of Maranello's philosophy, which already sees its cars as finished works of art. But history has shown: what shocks today can become cult tomorrow. Koenig preparations from the '80s, once mocked, now fetch impressive sums in collections.

With l'Equestre, Mansory promises to make Ferrari 12Cilindri an even rarer and more exclusive piece. Between aesthetic provocation and a small gain in power, the recipe will leave no one indifferent.
