Inspired by the legendary F40... Ferrari has just delivered the SC40 to its mysterious owner.

t was several months before we saw one of the company's Ferrari of recent years. Unveiled in October 2025 as a unique creation directly inspired by the legendary F40, the Ferrari SC40 now resurfaces in a very different context.

On April 2, a video posted on social networks caught our attention. It shows the delivery of this exceptional one-off model, filmed by Miami-based detailing company Squeaky Petes. A detail far from insignificant.

While the SC40 has so far been seen in Italy, notably at Maranello and later at Mugello, this footage confirms that the car has crossed the Atlantic. Above all, it provides a new clue to the identity - or rather, the location - of its mysterious owner.

SC40 heads for Miami

Everything now suggests that the sponsor of this unique Ferrari resides in Miami, a mecca for wealthy collectors and exclusive supercars. The presence of the SC40 at the Squeaky Petes facility suggests a recent delivery, probably after several months spent in Italy for final adjustments.

This transfer marks a new stage in the life of this extraordinary creation. After having been an almost secret object of fascination, reserved for Ferrari's backrooms, the SC40 now enters the very closed circle of cars visible - at least occasionally - on American soil. But this visibility will undoubtedly remain limited.

A unique piece... destined to remain rare

After all, the Ferrari SC40 is a one-off. A bespoke work of art, designed for a single customer, whose value far exceeds that of a conventional supercar. As such, its owner is unlikely to use it regularly on the open road. As is often the case with this type of model, the car could spend most of its time in a private collection, out of sight. Nevertheless, its appearance in Miami opens the door to some interesting scenarios.

Coming soon to concours d'élégance?

Although it will remain rare, the SC40 could make a few highly targeted appearances. Miami and the surrounding area regularly play host to prestigious motoring events, and the United States is a prime venue for concours d'élégance.

So it's not impossible that this unique Ferrari will make a grand exit in the weeks or months to come, at a carefully chosen event. In the meantime, this delivery video acts as a reminder: some Ferraris aren't just cars, but true collectors' items... even if they rarely run. If you can read the speedometer correctly, the car has 220 miles on it, or around 350 km.
