F1 driver Esteban Ocon sells his Ferrari 296 GTB because he now has an even more powerful Italian toy

Exactly one year after taking delivery, Esteban Ocon is already parting with his Ferrari 296 GTB. A decision that comes as no surprise. Over the last few months, the French driver has changed his automotive dimension with the arrival in his garage of a Lamborghini Revuelto prepared by Mansory, much more powerful and, above all, much more exclusive. A look back at this symbolic transition between FerrariFormula 1 and exceptional supercars.

A Ferrari delivered at a pivotal moment in its career

At the beginning of January 2025, Esteban Ocon officially took delivery of his customized Ferrari 296 GTB. An event that came at a key moment in his career. Having been ousted from Alpine at the end of the 2024 season, the driver from Normandy was about to embark on a new adventure in Formula 1 with Haas, a Ferrari-powered team. This change of team offered him a new freedom. Gone were the image constraints associated with the Alpine brand. A great fan of sports cars, Ocon could finally afford a Ferrari without any ambiguity. His choice was the 296 GTB, a rechargeable hybrid supercar powered by a V6 developing 830 hp in its original configuration, almost three times the power of an Alpine A110 R Ultime. Ironically, with a base price of less than €290,000, the Ferrari 296 GTB was scarcely more expensive than the A110 R Ultime, priced at up to €330,000 in its "La Bleue" finish.

A unique configuration now on sale

At the beginning of January 2026, almost a year to the day after its delivery, Esteban Ocon's Ferrari 296 GTB is back in the news. And this time, it's not for its arrival, but for its departure. Charles Pozzi Le Mans has revealed that the car is now for sale. It's a particularly exclusive example, specially configured for the driver of Formula 1. The supercar sports a spectacular Rubino Micalizzato color, combined with the Assetto Fiorano package. On board, there are carbon-fiber bucket seats with four-point harnesses, Rosso stitching and a number of personalized plaques, notably on the door sills and inner rear panel.

The ultimate detail for collectors, the driver's seat bears the signature of Esteban Ocon, further reinforcing the uniqueness of this example. The car, first registered in 2024, has 8,157 kilometers on the clock and is covered by the Ferrari Approved warranty for 24 months or up to 120,000 kilometers. Price €390,000.

A logical sale after the arrival of an extraordinary Lamborghini

If this Ferrari is already for sale, it's primarily because Esteban Ocon has changed his toy. A few months ago, the French driver took delivery of his new personal car: a Lamborghini Revuelto prepared by Mansory, the fruit of an unprecedented partnership between the German tuner and a Formula 1 driver.

Named "Initiate", this Revuelto is an entirely bespoke creation. Omnipresent exposed carbon, contrasting red accents, interior personalized with the driver's initials... Everything about this Lamborghini has been designed to reflect Ocon's personality. It's a true "one of one" model, designed for a specific purpose and a unique owner. But it is above all in terms of mechanics that the difference with the Ferrari 296 GTB becomes apparent. Where the Ferrari hybrid boasts 830 hp in its original configuration, the Lamborghini Revuelto Mansory goes much further. The 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 has been reworked from 825 to 880 hp, for a cumulative output of 1,070 hp thanks to the three electric motors. A difference that radically changes the hierarchy in the Haas driver's garage.

Esteban Ocon recently enjoyed his Lamborghini to the full. At the end of December 2025, he shared on his social networks the first images of his very first drive at the wheel of the Revuelto Mansoryduring a stay in Switzerland. It was a long-awaited moment, as his Formula 1 schedule had hitherto given him little opportunity to drive off-road.
