In the Leclerc family, passion for motor racing runs through the veins. We already knew Charles, a Ferrari driver in Formula 1 since 2019, and Arthur, a former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy and current GT3 driver for AF Corse. But this week, it was the third brother, Lorenzo Tolotta-Leclerc, who caught the eye by climbing into a Formula 1 car for the very first time. Scuderia Ferrari.
Lorenzo shared this exceptional moment on his Instagram account with an emotional message:
"Did not expect to start this week driving an F1 ! Thanks to these two @charles_leclerc & @arthur_leclerc ❤️❤️ Amazing feeling and unforgettable experience surrounded by the best 🥰🥹"
It was at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet that the eldest of the siblings took the wheel of the Ferrari SF90, the single-seater for the 2019 season. A historic car for the Scuderia: Charles Leclerc scored his first two F1 victories there (Belgium and Italy), while Sebastian Vettel won in Singapore. This single-seater is distinguished by its matte red livery, chosen at the time by Mattia Binotto to save a few precious grams.

An amusing detail: the SF90 driven by Lorenzo bore the number 7. A number associated with Kimi Räikkönen, who has already left for Alfa Romeo in 2019. Perhaps a wink, or simply Lorenzo's lucky number.

Although he didn't follow the path of motorsport like his younger brothers, Lorenzo remains a discerning enthusiast, often on hand to support Charles and Arthur. This drive has enabled him to experience from the inside what his brothers have been experiencing for years: the unique power of a Ferrari Formula 1 car.
He wasn't alone in enjoying the moment. Charles and Arthur were obviously there, as was French driver Norman Nato (Cadillac in WEC), among other close friends. An unforgettable family memory.

As a reminder, during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024, Arthur Leclerc took part in Free Practice 1 at the wheel of a Ferrari, replacing Carlos Sainz. He shared the track with Charles, making the two brothers the first siblings to drive together for the Scuderia in an official session. With this run at Le Castellet, Lorenzo proved that, even without a racing career, Ferrari DNA and a passion for racing run in the Leclerc family.
