At the dawn of the Formula 1 2026, the Scuderia Ferrari is about to unveil one of the most eagerly-awaited projects of recent years. The SF-26 will not be just another single-seater: it symbolizes the Italian manufacturer's official entry into a brand-new regulatory era, with the clear ambition of reshuffling the deck against the competition. The event is eagerly awaited by the tifosi, and by drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who will be united under the Cavallino's colors.

Highly-anticipated presentation at Fiorano

The new Ferrari SF-26 will be officially presented on Friday, January 23, in a highly symbolic location: the Fiorano circuit. True to its DNA, Ferrari has chosen a sober, technical approach, far removed from grandiloquent shows. The objective is clear: to put the single-seater at the center of attention and give the operational kick-off to the 2026 season. During the presentation, the first official images will be unveiled, along with the car's definitive livery and aerodynamic outline. The SF-26 is designed to meet the new F1 2026 rules, which call for more compact, lighter and more efficient single-seaters, with a radically different philosophy to that seen to date.

Leclerc and Hamilton on track immediately

The event will be more than just a static presentation. Following the unveiling, the SF-26 will take to the track for its first-ever shakedown at Fiorano. Ferrari will use the 15 kilometers authorized by the FIA for a validation run, essential for checking the correct operation of the systems and the overall affidability of the car. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will take turns at the wheel for these first laps, a highly symbolic moment that will mark the real start of on-track development. Of course, it won't be a question of pure performance, but rather of a crucial first contact before the private tests in Barcelona, scheduled from January 26 to 30, behind closed doors.

Where to watch the Ferrari SF-26 presentation live

The presentation of the Ferrari F1 2026 will be accessible via live streaming on January 23, 2026 via the Scuderia's official channels. Fans around the world will be able to follow the event in real time, with no geographical restrictions.

What we already know about the Ferrari SF-26

The SF-26 is an entirely new project, designed from the outset for the 2026 regulations. Ferrari is banking on a more agile and predictable single-seater, with overall efficiency at the heart of the concept. The big revolution is under the hood, with a radically rethought power unit: the electric part will reach a level equivalent to that of the V6 turbo engine. At the time of writing, Mercedes, Audi and Honda had already published a video featuring the sound of their new engines, unlike Ferrari.

Another major change is the abandonment of traditional DRS in favor of active aerodynamics, capable of adapting the car's behavior between straights and twisty sections. Ferrari seems to be taking a measured approach to the shakedown, focusing on stability and reliability, before introducing more aggressive evolutions in subsequent tests, notably in Bahrain.
