Just a few days before the start of the 2026 season of Formula 1, Charles Leclerc experienced a moment far more personal than his promising times during winter testing: the Monegasque driver married Alexandra Saint Mleux at a private ceremony in Monaco.

But true to his status as a Ferrari driver... and to the brand's history, Leclerc obviously didn't do things by halves. For this unique day, he chose one of the most legendary Ferraris ever built.

An appearance aboard a legend

In several videos posted on social networks, the newlyweds are seen descending the heights of Monaco aboard a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 1957. Cream suit for the driver, bouquet of flowers in hand for Alexandra Saint Mleux: the scene could almost have come out of a film. Except here, the car isn't just a backdrop.

The 250 Testa Rossa is a monument to automotive history. Produced in just a few dozen examples at the end of the 50s, it embodies Ferrari's golden age of endurance racing. This sculpturally designed barchetta, recognizable by its Scaglietti-designed pontoon wings, was not just a rolling work of art: it also dominated the track. Between 1958 and 1961, it repeatedly won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, helping to forge the brand's sporting legend.

A masterpiece estimated at over 30 million euros

Today, the 250 Testa Rossa is one of the most sought-after Ferraris in the world. Recent auctions provide an indication of its value: an example offered by RM Sotheby's was estimated at between $34 and $38 million, or around €31 and €35 million. And depending on the model, its track record and authenticity, the price can go even higher.

We're talking about a car equipped with a 3.0-liter V12 developing 300 hp in the late “50s, capable of reaching speeds of around 270 km/h, a feat for its time. Its name, ”Testa Rossa", refers to its signature red-painted valve covers. In short: a symphony of design, technology and history. A symbolic choice for a Ferrari driver on his wedding day.

A wedding before a decisive season

This intimate ceremony, organized by Marie Ducruet, a close friend of the couple, was held with the utmost discretion, surrounded only by family and close friends.

It comes at a pivotal moment for the Monegasque driver. Having set the fastest time during testing in Bahrain with the Ferrari SF-26, Leclerc enters the 2026 season as one of the favorites. The Scuderia has not won a constructors' title since 2008, nor a drivers' title since 2007. What if this marriage also marked the start of a historic year? In any case, for Charles Leclerc, 2026 is already unforgettable.
