While Lewis Hamilton recently made his mark by offering a gift to over a thousand Scuderia Ferrari employeesthis time Charles Leclerc who found himself the center of attention at an early Christmas party. The gifts received by the Monegasque driver were far less luxurious... but were loaded with meaning. In a video posted a few days ago on Instagram, we discover Charles Leclerc unwrapping gifts that owe nothing to chance. Behind these attentions lie Ferrari's mechanics and its track engineer Bryan Bozzi, determined to mix humor, self-mockery and recognition after a 2025 season that has been anything but straightforward.
A humorous first gift
The origin of one of these gifts goes back to the Australian Grand Prix, rained out in Melbourne. That day, Charles Leclerc reported an uncomfortable problem on the radio: his cockpit was literally flooded. "My seat is full of water, really full of water", he explains to his engineer. Bryan Bozzi's response, as dry as it was ironic, instantly went viral: "It must be the water." Amused, Leclerc himself concludes the exchange with a now cult phrase: "Let's add it to the pearls of wisdom." After the race, Leclerc explained the meaning of this shared irony in the Ferrari box. For several years, he and his engineers have been keeping track of certain unusual, amusing or absurd radio discussions, which they nickname "pearls of wisdom". The famous Melbourne exchange, which has gone viral on social networks, has never been forgotten.
And at the Ferrari box's end-of-year party, held in a relaxed atmosphere far removed from the pressure of race weekends, Bryan Bozzi made an appearance... dressed as Santa Claus. In front of a visibly surprised Charles Leclerc, he hands him a white T-shirt. The T-shirt bears the unequivocal inscription: "Must be the water", a direct reference to the Australian radio team, with an equally pungent wink: "Ferrari Strategy".

A second, more grateful gift
But the most emotionally powerful moment was the second gift. The Ferrari mechanics presented Leclerc with a black T-shirt. On the back, it reads: "But still: 1 pole position, 5 front rows, 7 podiums. Thank you for NEVER giving up! A sentence that sums up a complicated season, marked by the absence of victories. But also a season during which Charles Leclerc never gave up, continuing to push, to fight and to get the most out of his equipment.
