Lancia Gamma

The Lancia Gamma is a top-of-the-range sedan produced between 1976 and 1984. The successor to the Lancia 2000, it embodies the brand's desire to offer an Italian alternative to the large European roadsters.
Presented at the 1976 Geneva Motor Show, the Gamma was distinguished by an atypical technical choice: a flat-4 (4-cylinder) engine, a rare architecture in the large sedan segment. It was offered in two body styles: sedan (Berlina) and coupé, the latter designed and produced by Pininfarina.
With its elegant design and refined interior, the Gamma is all about comfort and style. Despite its qualities, the Gamma had a limited commercial career, mainly due to reliability problems with certain engines. It was replaced in 1984 by the Lancia Thema.
