Ferrari 400 / 412

The Ferrari 400 marked a profound break in Ferrari history. Introduced in 1976, it became the first production Ferrari equipped with an automatic gearbox, fully embracing a luxurious Grand Touring orientation, far removed from the brand's traditional sports sedans. Equipped with an atmospheric front-engine V12 and elegant bodywork by Pininfarina, the Ferrari 400 is aimed at customers seeking comfort, refinement and high performance for long journeys.
It evolved into the 400i from 1979, with the adoption of electronic fuel injection, before reaching its most accomplished form with the Ferrari 412 in 1985.
