The Alfa Romeo Alfetta is a sedan produced between 1972 and 1984. It marked a major step forward for Alfa Romeo with the introduction of a transaxle architecture (rear-mounted gearbox). This configuration provided excellent weight distribution and improved dynamic behavior. The Alfetta quickly established itself as a benchmark sports sedan. It spawned several derivatives, including the famous Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV.
