The Alfa Romeo Alfasud is a compact car produced between 1971 and 1989. It represented a revolution for Alfa Romeo, being the brand's first front-wheel drive. Developed to broaden its customer base, it was distinguished by its boxer engines and highly dynamic roadholding. Available as a sedan and a Sprint coupé, the Alfasud was a commercial success despite corrosion problems.
