This Tipo 33/2 chassis 015 is no ordinary Alfa Romeo. It has raced in the most legendary endurance events: 24 Hours of Daytona, Targa Florio, 1000 km of Nürburgring, Monza, Spa... With its taut lines, light bodywork and V8 engine, it symbolizes the golden age of competition for the Biscione.

It was the first in the series to be equipped with a 2.5-liter engine, more powerful than the traditional 2.0-liter, an evolution designed as early as 1968 to face competition from Ferrari and Porsche.

Impressive track record

  • 1968 Daytona 24H: 6th overall (5th in class), driven by Mario Andretti and Lucien Bianchi
  • Targa Florio 1968: 2nd place with Nino Vaccarella before an unfortunate retirement
  • 1968 Nürburgring 1000 KM: 7th overall
  • 1000 KM Monza and Spa 1969: two top 10 finishes for Team VDS

And that's not all: she also raced in Angola in the 70s, taking at least five victories with a Portuguese driver, before being forgotten, then exfiltrated by cargo plane in the 80s in an incredible operation worthy of a film.

Having passed through the hands of discerning collectors, this Alfa has benefited from meticulous restorations, including one by former Autodelta mechanic Marcello Gambi. Its engine was completely rebuilt for over $65,000, and the car regularly raced in Le Mans Classic, Monterey Historic, Watkins Glen, Silverstone, Spa...

Today, it sports the #220 livery of the 1968 Targa Florio and retains its 2.5-liter V8 engine, an absolute rarity. It comes with a set of spare parts, its original rear hull and even German racing documents.

Of the 23 T33/2 chassis built, only 10 are still known to this day. Chassis 015 belongs to this elite group, with a proven track record, legendary drivers and a special place in Alfa Romeo history.

For enthusiasts, museums or wealthy collectors, this is a unique opportunity to own one of the most beautiful Alfa Romeo racing cars ever produced.
