Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa: only 10 examples and a new aerodynamic kit

There are cars that are content to be powerful, and then there are those that tell a story. With the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, the Italian brand isn't just signing a new special series: it's delivering a technological and emotional manifesto, born of wind, racing and Italian passion. Making its world premiere at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, this unique Giulia pushes the Quadrifoglio concept to its very limits.

A Quadrifoglio like no other

This Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is the very first fruit of the collaboration between Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa, a benchmark in competitive sailing. This is no mere sticker or marketing partnership. The project is based on a genuine exchange of skills: materials, aerodynamics, performance research and an obsession with detail. Produced from an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio assembled in Cassino, each car is then transformed at the BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, the new creative hub that brings together Alfa Romeo and Maserati's customization and high-performance expertise. The result? Only ten examples worldwide. Ten cars already sold.

An obsession with aerodynamics

If the Giulia Luna Rossa had to be summed up in one word, it would undoubtedly be "efficiency". Alfa Romeo announces the most aerodynamically efficient Quadrifoglio ever conceived. The new carbon kit isn't about visual effect: it's entirely designed to generate stability at very high speeds. At 300 km/h, the Italian sedan develops around 140 kg of downforce, almost five times more than the standard Giulia Quadrifoglio. Under the hood, the legendary 520 hp, twin-turbocharged 2.9 V6, combined with a mechanical self-locking differential, is no surprise.

Aesthetics inspired by ocean racing

Visually, this special series immediately stands out. The bodywork adopts a hand-applied tint, evoking the metallic effect of steel and the reflections of a racing boat's hull. For the first time in the brand's history, the Alfa Romeo logos feature a red background. The 19-inch wheels also feature a red reminder, while the roof, scudetto and rear-view mirror caps all feature exposed carbon.

Inside, the Luna Rossa universe continues with special Sparco seats and, above all, a highly symbolic detail: a thin layer of genuine Luna Rossa sail integrated into the dashboard.

The most extreme?

Yes, this Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is the most extreme ever designed under the Quadrifoglio name. But it would be unfair to forget the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, which peaked at 540 hp and also benefited from extensive aerodynamic work. The difference lies elsewhere. Where the GTA and GTAm played the radical card, the Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is more concerned with overall efficiency and exclusivity. Only ten examples, compared with several hundred for the GTA/GTAm. An almost hand-crafted approach, and a rarity that immediately elevates it to the rank of collector's item.

  1. "10 esemplari in totale" - È una vergogna.

John Elkann ha rovinato Alfa Romeo e Maserati. Non c'è un successore per la Giulia, così come non c'è stato un successore per l'Alfa 159. Non c'è un successore per la Stelvio, per la Quattroporte e per la Levante.
