Es ist offiziell: Stellantis beendet sein Programm zur Entwicklung der Wasserstoff-Brennstoffzellentechnologie. Die Ank\u00fcndigung, die am 16. Juli 2025 erfolgte, markiert eine radikale Wende in der Strategie des Automobilkonzerns. Trotz der im Plan Dare Forward 2030 ge\u00e4u\u00dferten Ambitionen ist Wasserstoff nicht mehr Teil der Zukunft von Stellantis. Die Zukunft wird sich nun zwischen Verbrennungsmotor-Hybrid und 100 % Elektroantrieb abspielen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vorzeitiges Ende eines ehrgeizigen Programms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In seinem Strategieplan Dare Forward 2030 strebte Stellantis jedoch an, ab 2024 j\u00e4hrlich 10.000 wasserstoffbetriebene Nutzfahrzeuge zu produzieren und nach 2025 einen wasserstoffbetriebenen Pickup ins Visier zu nehmen. Das Ziel war klar: eine kohlenstofffreie Alternative f\u00fcr Berufst\u00e4tige, die eine gro\u00dfe Reichweite und schnelle Ladezeiten ben\u00f6tigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Markteinf\u00fchrung des Fiat Ducato Hydrogen Ende 2024 lie\u00df sogar eine erste Konkretisierung dieser Ambitionen erwarten. Doch nur wenige Monate nach seiner Markteinf\u00fchrung wurde das Projekt gestoppt. Stellantis sagte die Einf\u00fchrung der gesamten wasserstoffbetriebenen Pro One-Reihe ab, deren Produktion diesen Sommer in Hordain (Frankreich) f\u00fcr mittelgro\u00dfe Nutzfahrzeuge und in Gliwice (Polen) f\u00fcr gr\u00f6\u00dfere Fahrzeuge beginnen sollte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wirtschaftliche und strukturelle Gr\u00fcnde<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Die Begr\u00fcndungen sind klar: fehlende Betankungsinfrastruktur, zu hohe Investitionskosten und keine mittelfristige Rentabilit\u00e4t. F\u00fcr Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO Europe der Stellantis-Gruppe, :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Angesichts der Dringlichkeit der CO2-Ziele und des Wettbewerbsdrucks bevorzugt Stellantis bew\u00e4hrte Technologien: Elektrofahrzeuge f\u00fcr Pkw und Stadtflotten sowie Hybridfahrzeuge mit Verbrennungsmotor, um Reichweite und Kostenkontrolle zu kombinieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stellantis versichert, dass diese Entscheidung keine Auswirkungen auf die Belegschaft der betroffenen Standorte haben wird. Die F&E-Teams, die an Wasserstoff arbeiten, werden auf andere Projekte umverteilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innerhalb weniger Monate wurde der Fiat Ducato Hydrogen vom Zukunftsmodell zum Symbol f\u00fcr eine gescheiterte Technologiewette. Der Verzicht auf einen wasserstoffbetriebenen Pick-up f\u00fcr die Zeit nach 2025 best\u00e4tigt das Ausma\u00df der Kehrtwende.
