Dank der Verbundstoffkarosserie und des Stahlrahmens wog das Auto nur 1050 kg und hatte eine H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit von 205 km\/h. Das Auto war entwickelt worden, um neue Technologien wie den Luft-Fl\u00fcssigkeits-Austauscher zu testen. Der B24 wurde von einem 2,4-Liter-Turbodieselmotor VM Motori I4 angetrieben, der 130 PS bei 4.300 U\/min leistete. Der B24 wurde in begrenzter St\u00fcckzahl f\u00fcr den amerikanischen Markt produziert, mit etwa neun Exemplaren (darunter einige BT424-Modelle mit Lancia Gamma-Benzinmotoren). Er war mit Bremsen mit 4-Kolben-Bremss\u00e4tteln von Brembo und 305-Millimeter-Scheiben an der Vorderachse ausgestattet. Dieses System nutzte neben der Aufladung auch die Elektronik zur Steuerung der Verbrennung. Das System wurde in vielen Dieselmotoren der FIAT-Gruppe eingesetzt. Der Motor leistete 313 PS bei 4.200 U\/min, und die maximale Schubkraft von 500 Nm trat bei 2.100 U\/min auf. Das Coup\u00e9 war das erste Dieselfahrzeug, das die 300 km\/h-Marke \u00fcberschritt.
